Meet Our Administration

The Dove Creek VFD Admin is made up of
2 Chiefs and 5 Board Members

Fire Chief
​Sontos Chavez

Chief Chavez first held this role in 2019.  He formerly served as assistant fire chief, president and vice president.  He currently works professionally for the San Angelo Fire Department and EMS  as a paramedic. 

Assistant Fire Chief (Interim)
Brandon Gutierrez

Brandon served as Captain until his promotion to Assistant Chief (Interim).  He has been a firefighter since 2016.

Board Secretary
Douglas Mar

Doug has been a member of the DCVFD for 12 years. 

Promoted to Lieutenant in December 2022 and dutifully

​ fulfilling the role of secretary since October 2021.

Board Treasurer
​Lynn Marshall

Treasurer Marshall has overseen the department's finances

​ since October 2021. 

Board President
​Mike Nobles

President Nobles started his tenure October 2022 after

serving as vice president. He has served the Dove Creek

VFD as a firefighter for decades.

Board Vice President (Interim)
Brent Koester

Vice President Koester served in U.S. Navy during Desert Shield/Storm.  Prior to military service fought brush fires in L.A. County.

Voting Member Wooten brings insight and guidance
