What Our Community Is Saying

Joell Salazar,
I heard a knocking noise around midnight, walked into the living room to check it out and realized the whole room was glowing orange. I immediately thought our house was on fire. Ran outside and saw my car fully engulfed in flames. Our amazing Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department was here within 10 minutes and I couldn’t be more thankful for them. Randi Cooper Whitehead (part of VFD) got here first, without any of her gear, and immediately took over the water hose and instructed me to move a nearby propane tank with maybe a minute to spare before the fire hit the gas tank. I’m especially thankful for her today. There are so many things I am praising God for. Like the fact that I almost parked under the carport. Or how I almost dismissed the knocking noise and went to sleep. And mainly, that whatever was going wrong with the battery and caused the fire didn’t happen with the kids and I inside.
Material things are replaceable.
God is so so so good.
