Fire Chief
Sontos Chavez
Chief Chavez has been the Fire Chief of DCVFD since 2019. He has formerly served as assistant fire chief, president and vice president. Chief Chavez currently works as a Firefighter Paramedic for the City of San Angelo. Chief Chavez has State Certifications as a Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, EMS Instructor, Aircraft Fire Rescue, Wildland Engine Boss, Pumper Driver Operator as well as Heavy rescue.
Assistant Fire Chief Chris Campbell
Board President
Brent Koester
President Koester served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Shield/Storm. Prior to military, Brent fought brush fires in L.A. County.
Board Vice President
Mike Nobles
Vice President Nobles started his tenure October 2022. He has served the Dove Creek VFD as a firefighter for decades.
Board Treasurer
Lynn Marshall
Treasurer Marshall has overseen the department's finances since October 2021.
Board Secretary
Randi Whitehead
Secretary Whitehead has been with DCVFD since 2018. Firefighter Whitehead is not not just the secretary, she's also a Captain with DCVFD. Randi has a bachelor's degree in Animal Science as a graduate from Sul Ross State University.
Board Voting Member
Rick Wooten
Voting Member Wooten has brought insight and guidance to the board meetings since October 2022. Rick Is a current resident of the Pecan Creek Subdivision And currently works in the insurance business.
